I favor the person who selflessly gives his time and energy in the interest of the town. As town election time approaches, Heath is fortunate to have as a candidate for Selectboard, Will Emmet, who has served the town in multiple capacities, both volunteer and elected.

Emmet moved to Heath in 2006 and immediately embraced the town. He volunteered for and was elected to serve on several committees and offices. He is currently in his second term as a member of the Finance Committee and in his second term as town constable. He is also a member of the Planning Board.

He is also a Heath volunteer firefighter and a member of the Firefighter Association. He acts as a liaison to the Highway Department, using his engineering expertise and donating his time to help save the town money. He and another town resident recently made a 10-hour round trip to New York State to evaluate a needed piece of highway equipment while the highway superintendent waited at home for the OK to make a bid.

Heath eventually won the bid, saving the town considerable money. Emmet also has used his talents to diagnose and repair equipment that would otherwise have been discarded, resulting in significant savings to the town.

When choosing between two candidates, I favor the person who selflessly gives his time and energy in the interest of the town. My candidate is Will Emmett.
