Scam presentation in Royalson

The Royalston Ladies’ Benevolent Society is hosting a presentation on scams which target older adults this Thursday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the Royalston Town Hall. The presentation will be given by a representative from the office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.’s office and is open to the public.

The Royalston Ladies’ Benevolent Society is celebrating 200 years of continuous service to the community throughout 2024, hosting a number of special events including this presentation.

Pasture management workshop this weekend

PETERSHAM—Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, in collaboration with UMass Extension, invites the public to join a pasture management workshop focusing on extending the grazing season with soil scientist Dr. Masoud Hashemi.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, April 27, 1-3 p.m., at Doe Valley Farm in Petersham. The workshop will include a 20-to-30-minute outdoor activity and question and answer session. Indigenous bike blessing

ATHOL—ALR 102 presents its fourth annual Indigenous Bike Blessing, to be held on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m., with the blessing to be done at 1:02 p.m. The blessing will be done by Gene Duran, a member of the Native American Warrior Society. Entry fee is $15 per bike, and all bikes are welcome.

The blessing will be held at the Athol American Legion, 30 Pequoig Ave., Athol. There will be live music, a cash bar and a 50/50 raffle. Free vendor space is available at 978-846-7029 and more information can be found at www.facebook.com/athollegionriders.

Elder law presentation at Athol Senior Center

ATHOL—All are welcome to attend a free elder law presentation on Wednesday, May 8, at 1 p.m. Attorney Lynette Goodnow will be presenting on many topics with time for questions and answers, along with receiving the “2024 Elder Law Education Guide.” This event will be held at the Athol Senior Center, 82 Freedom St. Those who plan to attend, please RSVP to 978-249-8996.
