PHILLIPSTON -- State Sen. Stephen Brewer (D-Barre) told a gathering of residents at a meeting sponsored by the Affordable Senior Housing Committee Tuesday that funding is readily available from the state and federal government for low income housing. The funding would come from state DHCH and would primarily come from low income tax credit. Twice a year in October and February funds are allocated. The estimated cost to carry out the project is between $4 and 10 million. Thursday, September 02, 2010
This colorful dragon operated by students from the Warwick Community School was a hit during the Warwick Old Home Days parade Saturday. The dragon was on loan from Pat Johnson of Warwick, whose daughter Amelia is a teacher in Vermont where students crafted the puppet.
