PHILLIPSTON -- The first informational meeting offered by the affordable senior housing committee concerning the proposed senior housing community took place in the lower level of the Congregational Church Tuesday.
STURBRIDGE -- Local military reenactors from the town of Baldwinville will be among more than 800 historic military reenactors from all over the northeast converging on Old Sturbridge Village Aug. 7-8 to take part in the eighth annual Redcoats & Rebels Revolutionary War reenactment. Named a "Best in New England" event by Yankee magazine, Redcoats & Rebels is one of the largest such reenactments in the country.
ORANGE -- The YES (Youth Entrepreneurial Society) Biz Center has a "jobs for youth" program. The program is for those ages 13 to 22 who do odd jobs, such as babysitting, yard work or other jobs.
GREENFIELD -- Mike Nelson is looking for a bunch of good floats that will address the theme of "We Sow, We Harvest, We Celebrate," for the 2010 Franklin County Fair's opening night parade on Thursday, Sept. 9.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the grand opening of Seren-Dip-ities at 483 East Main St. in Orange recently, with many people attending.
