WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Police say a man's body has been found at the bottom of the Westfield River by two fishermen.
Officer Charles Kielbasa tells The Westfield News the fishermen - one an off-duty Westfield firefighter - saw the man lying face-down in about five feet of water near the Whitney Playground on Monday afternoon.
Police say there are no obvious signs of foul play but the cause of death hasn't been determined.
Police said the man was wearing blue jeans. He has been identified from a photo ID in his wallet as 39-year-old Joshua Ault.
Police said Ault was homeless. They don't know if he was living at an encampment near where he was found.
An autopsy is scheduled but the cause of death is believed to be accidental drowning.
