ORANGE - The Mahar Middle School softball team defeated Mohawk 15-1 in five innings on Monday.
Jordyn Berry led the offensive explosion with a three-run home run as part of a three-hit day. Carissa Johnson tripled as one of her three hits.
Elysha Bedard had two singles. Lani deDiego and Tori Tenney both doubled for Mahar. Hannah LaPointe and Aria Flematti also hit safely.
Johnson earned the win, striking out five.
