Maureen C. Coleman
FITCHBURG — Maureen Claire Coleman, age 62, died on Feb. 12, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Vicksburg, Mich., on April 18, 1954, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Rita T. Coleman of Lunenburg.
She was a loving sister of Robert J. Coleman and wife Page Ann of Athol, Susan Coleman Dever and her husband Richard Dever of Marshfield, Richard P. Coleman and his wife Brenda of Athol, Kathryn Coleman Maldonis and her husband Robert Maldonis of Arlington, Elizabeth Coleman of Leominster and Thomas M. Coleman and wife Lisa of Athol, and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Maureen was active with The ARC of Opportunity in Fitchburg. She loved the musical group The Cowsills, her Beanie Babies and going shopping.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, at 11:30 a.m. in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Mass Ave., Lunenburg.
Her burial will be in the spring in the South Cemetery in Lunenburg.
Calling hours are 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made in Maureen’s name to The ARC of Opportunity, 564 Main St., Fitchburg, MA 01420 or to Health Alliance Home Health & Hospice, 60 Hospital Rd., Leominster, MA 01453.
