The oldest and youngest U.S. Marine Corps veterans in attendance at the 240th USMC Birthday Ball at the Athol American Legion on Tuesday were recognized. As is tradition, a Marine Corps cake was cut and the oldest, Richard J. Chase Sr., 93, received the first piece and passed it on to the youngest, Greg Fortes, 38.
