Athol parking meters have resumed
ATHOL—With the completion of the Crescent Street bridge project and the re-opening of Crescent Street, free parking along Main and Exchange streets has come to an end. As of Wednesday, Oct. 8, motorists are required to feed the parking meters at 50 cents per hour. Failure to feed the meters, or parking at expired meters, will result in a $10 fine.
Hydrant flushing in Athol
ATHOL—The town’s Department of Public Works’ Water Division will conduct hydrant flushing on Oct. 20-Oct. 23, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Residents may experience low water pressure or discolored [rusty] water during this period. Please refrain from washing clothes during these hours to avoid staining.
Winchendon community informational forum
WINCHENDON—An informal meeting with the town manager and department heads to learn about what is happening in Winchendon, ask questions and share ideas in a relaxed setting. The forum will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, 6 p.m. at the Town Hall auditorium, 109 Front St., Winchendon.
Those who can’t attend but would like to submit a question can email the Town Manager’s office at ddennis@winchendon-ma.gov.
Town Common feedback requested
PHILLIPSTON—The town is seeking feedback on proposed designs for the Town Common, which can be found at https://tinyurl.com/3f8w8h4b.
The Town Common Study was funded by the Community Preservation Committee and approved by the residents at Town Meeting.
