Due to a break in the sprinkler system the Athol Police Department building is currently closed to foot traffic and for administrative purposes, the town has announced.
All emergency services including police, fire and emergency medical response remain available. If there is an emergency, call 9-1-1 for the best response. For general calls the temporary number is 978-249-8275.
The building is being assessed for damages and restoration. Further updates will be posted when new information is available. The town requests the general public’s patience for routine administrative matters and certain records requests while the scope of the water damage is determined and repaired.
