Ultimate Animal Adventures program
ROYALSTON – A 90-minute program from Animal Adventures will be heldon Friday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. in the upstairs of the Royalston Town Hall, 19 On the Common. Animals in the show include a wallaby, pale fox, boa constrictor, mountain coati, kinkajou, screaming hairy armadillo, a monitor lizard, and more. Learn about each of these animals, where they live in the wild, and unusual facts about them. Appropriate for all ages and free. This program is funded by a grant from the Royalston Academy.
Royalston Democrats to elect delegates
ROYALSTON — On Tuesday, March 10, at 5 p.m., Democrats will convene at the Royalston Town Hall, First Floor to elect two delegates and two alternates to represent Royalston at the 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Doors will open for registration at 4:30 p.m.
Registered and pre-registered Democrats (16 years old plus) in Royalston may vote and be elected as delegates or alternates during the caucus. Non-voting members of the public are welcome to observe.
Youth (age 16 to 35), people with disabilities, people of color, veterans, members of the LGBTQ+ community not elected as delegates or alternates are encouraged to apply to be add-on delegates at the Caucus or by visiting massdems.org. The 2026 Convention will be in person at the DCU Center in Worcester on May 29-30.
Offices up for nomination in 2026 include United States Senate, governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of the commonwealth, state treasurer and state auditor.

Free homeschool science labs
ATHOL – The Athol Bird and Nature Club is offering no-cost geology classes for homeschoolers aged 8-12, led by geology division coordinator and teacher Max MacPhee and aquatic biologist and teacher Cathy Szal. These classes will be an introduction to geology by comparing and contrasting different types of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks and will investigate traits of each type of rock using microscopes and hand lens.
