Margaret Lloyd

Morrisville, VT – Margaret Sanders Lloyd, affectionately known as “Peg,” passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 80. Born July 3, 1945, in Morrisville, VT, to Willard and Helen Sanders, Peg was a woman of remarkable strength, grace, and devotion.

Peg was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Rev. Harold “Skip” Lloyd Jr. Together, they dedicated their lives to ministry, serving congregations in Vermont, Massachusetts, South Dakota, and New York. Peg’s career reflected her passion for nurturing others; she was a physical education teacher and coach, the owner of “Stepping Stones” Daycare, and a dedicated educator within the Churchville-Chili Central School District.

A 1964 graduate of Peoples Academy and a 1969 graduate of Johnson State College, Peg was also a talented saxophonist with the Morrisville Military Band. She found great joy in arts and crafts, sports, and making memories with friends on trips to Charm, OH. Her compassionate heart and warm spirit made her a beacon of kindness in every community she touched.

Peg’s legacy is carried forward by her son, Randy; sisters, Sukay Sanders Campbell and Patricia Sanders; nephew, Scott Campbell; niece, Kimberly Bruder; and sisters-in-law, Sandy Eberle, Joy Stone, and Judith Lloyd. Her family was her greatest pride and anchor.

In accordance with Peg’s final wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her family invites those who knew her to keep her spirit alive through shared stories and memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to MSPCA-Angell. Peg’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and generosity, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
