The Trump administration is out of control. Two Americans have been shot to death at close range, in full view, with numerous video angles showing the truth. The war in Iran is causing massive destruction, death, international instability, higher prices, and the thing no one is mentioning: a huge contribution to worsening climate disaster.
They have demolished democratic norms and constitutional protections, and so far, no one has been able to stop them. We can’t wait for midterm elections alone, because they are going after fair elections as well.
Please come out for No Kings Day this Saturday, March 28, in Greenfield. Our presence in large numbers won’t stop anything this weekend. But it strengthens our legislators and makes visible the will of the majority of Americans. It will help you to feel less alone, and to consider other actions you might take down the road to show our majority will.
We will march from Beacon Field to the Common, starting at noon. The rally at the Common will start about 1 p.m. We have speakers and singers, and, contrary to how we may have been described, we are friendly and welcoming to all! Join the march if you are so moved, or watch from the sidewalks all along Federal Street. You don’t need a sign, you don’t need to sing or chant slogans (though you might be so moved!).
Bring yourself, bring a friend. Bring an American flag. We need to reclaim our country. We need you.
