A big “thank you” to Allen Young for the article on solar arrays and the one planned between Chestnut Hill Avenue and Tully Lake.
The very notion that thousands of panels will be visible from Route 32 and from Tully Lake should cause serious anxiety for anyone who cares about the scenic attributes of our town. Solar arrays may be fine but not when they are constructed as visual obscenities, as they often are.
Athol should not tolerate the degradation of its largest and most picturesque recreation area.

The West Orange Cemetery fence is now in 15 or more years of replacement and counting. If records can be found, it will show more than $30,000 has been spent on this unfinished fence, which is already in need of repairs on parts that have been installed.
The current board may not have been a part of this boondoggle, but they have not taken corrective action to clear it up.
I wonder what the person who has been contributing $100 monthly (in the past) thinks about this.
