The third annual Turkey Basketball Jamboree will be held Saturday at Mahar Regional High School.
The event marks the beginning of basketball season and is a fundraiser for Orange Recreation Association (ORA) travel basketball teams.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and $2 for seniors.
There are multiple youth and middle school teams competing throughout the day beginning at 9 a.m. It is an all-day event that ends with Mahar alumni games at 6 p.m. (women) and 7:30 (men).
Teams competing are from Athol and Orange as well as one team from Pioneer Regional.
Both girls and boys teams play.
Athol Hall of Fame induction banquet — The Athol High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct the class of 2018 Saturday night at the Athol Town Hall
Featured among the inductees is the 2003 baseball team, the only team in school history to win a state title.
