ATHOL – The Zoning Board of Appeals met briefly Wednesday night to discuss two agenda items.

Kimberly Adametz of 97 Burma Rd., who was seeking a variance for an addition to a single family dwelling in the Residential/Business Zoning District, sent a letter of withdrawal to the Board because a redesign is being done in compliance. The Board voted in favor of accepting the withdrawal.

The second item regarded the appeal of Darlene and Johanna Lawlor-Moore of 3449 Chestnut Hill Ave., for property located at 3824 Chestnut Hill Ave. The petitioner is seeking an administrative appeal of the Athol Planning Board’s Site Plan Review Decision of a solar farm located at 3824 Chestnut Hill Ave., in the Residential Commercial Zoning District issued on October 4, 2018. At the request of town attorney John Barrett, the Board took an informal vote to waive its jurisdiction in favor of land court. The appeal will formally be put on the agenda of the June 26 zoning board meeting.
