ORANGE — Route 2 eastbound and westbound, between exits 14 and 15, in Orange will be closed starting at 11 p.m. on Thursday and continuing through 4 a.m. on Friday, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).
The closures are necessary to facilitate the installation of an overhead sign, the release states. Traffic will be detoured onto Route 122 and West River Road. MassDOT advises drivers to expect delays, reduce speeds and use caution.
All scheduled work is weather dependent and may be impacted due to an emergency situation.
