The PVIAC Two-Ball tournament took place at The Ranch Golf Club in Southwick on Wednesday, with 27 teams from around Western Mass. participating.
The Franklin Tech team of Gabe Mota and Anthony Zager tied for 16th with the Pioneer duo of Jalen McGraw and Brayden Thayer, with both shooting an 81. The Mohawk duo of Ben Thompson and Phineas Tuttman took 25th with a 93.
The Amherst team of Piet Hartman and Chase Lashway placed first with a 69.
Greenfield 5, Turners 0 — Four different Green Wave players put balls in the back of the cage on Wednesday to lift Greenfield to a 5-0 win over rival Turners in Greenfield.
Lillia Kachelmeyer scored a pair of goals while Lucy Postera, Brielle Widelo and MacKenzie Paulin also scored in the victory. Josie Cloutier, Maddy Kuchieski and Ivy Rae tallied assists for the Green Wave.
Cady Wozniak made 11 saves in the loss for Turners while Ainslee Flynn made a pair of saves in the win.
Frontier 5, West Side 0 — Ashley Taylor had herself a day in South Deerfield on Wednesday, tallying a hat trick as the Redhawks shutout West Side, 5-0, in a Suburban League contest.
Shelby Clark and Emily DeMaio also scored for Frontier. DeMaio dished a pair of assists while Shelby Clark and Harper Modestow also picked up assists.
Ella Flanders was only forced to make one save in the win.
Pioneer 0, Athol 0 — It was a defensive battle between the Panthers and Bears, playing to a 0-0 draw in Athol on Wednesday.
Kelly Baird made two saves for Pioneer while Sam Kenniff stopped nine shots in the tie.
PVCICS 7, Mohawk Trail 0 — Teddy Scott and Gavin Gilburg each scored a pair of goals to propel the Dragons to a 7-0 triumph over the Warriors in Buckland on Wednesday.
Connor Herzig made 12 saves in the loss for Mohawk Trail.
Smith Voke 4, Franklin Tech 1 — Rosco Palmer recorded a hat trick as the Vikings rolled to a 4-1 win over the Eagles on Wednesday in Northampton.
Sam Lashtur scored for Franklin Tech off an assist from David Klempner.

Mahar 1, Hoosac 0 — Sienna Moore saved the day for the Senators.
Tied 0-0 with 15 minutes to play, Moore found the back of the net off an assist from Caraline White on what proved to be the game winner, giving Mahar a 1-0 win over the Hurricanes.
“We really needed to get this win,” Senator coach Chad Softic said. “I thought we controlled play throughout but it doesn’t matter if you cant find the net. Sienna’s goal was a terrific individual play by her to get her foot on the ball with a lot of bodies around her and the goalie who was bearing down on her.”
Mackinley Drew made three saves in the win.
Hampshire 3, Frontier 1 — Makayla Santos found the back of the net in the ninth minute for the Redhawks but it was all Raiders from that point on, with Frontier falling, 3-1, on the road on Wednesday.
Kylie Laford had the assist on Santos’ goal. Parker Pallente and Maise Bowler scored in the first half for Hampshire before Shayne Moynihan struck in the second half.
CC Green made 22 saves in the loss.
Lee 5, Pioneer 2 — Emma Puleri scored a pair of goals as the Wildcats topped the Panthers, 5-2, in Lee on Wednesday.
Hailey Ring and Laila Heilman found the back of the net for Pioneer, with Sahana Heilman picking up an assist in the loss.
Lee 3, Frontier 1 — The Redhawks and Wildcats have played for the Western Mass. title the last four tournaments it’s been held, with Frontier winning each match.
Lee got some revenge on Wednesday, defeating the visiting Redhawks 25-13, 27-25, 22-25, 25-21.
Sydney Scanlon dished 37 assists in the loss. Lilah Evans had 14 kills and four aces, Jillian Apanell recorded 11 kills and two aces, Caroline Deane smacked eight kills and Eve Dougan had four kills and three aces for Frontier.
Mohawk Trail 3, Mahar 0 — Octavia Crawford had four kills, five assists and three aces to lead the Warriors to a 25-8, 25-19, 25-20 sweep of the Senators on Wednesday in Orange.
Palmer King recorded seven kills, five assists and eight aces in the win, with Sophia Guy adding three aces and Elly Patnode knocking two kills and an ace for Mohawk Trail.
Olivia Mayer had a kill and two aces for Mahar, with Saylor Kegans adding two assists and three aces and Emilia Ramos putting down a kill.
