ORANGE — The Mahar girls outdoor track & field team split their dual meet on Thursday. The Senators defeated Southwick Regional 84-60, but lost to South Hadley, 80-64.
The Senators had 17 first-place finishes, 15 second-place finishes and nine third-place finishes combined.
Maeve Powell came in first in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet, 3 inches and first in the javelin with a throw of 87-3. Kamryn Reilly came in first in the long jump with a jump of 15-2¼ and the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.5 seconds. Kianna Reilly came in first in the triple jump with a jump of 33-1¾ and the high jump with a jump of 4-6.
Marie Nottleson won the 400 hurdles in 1:27.8. Anna Wetherbee was first in the 800 in 2:39.2. Delaney Parker won the 200 in 29.2. Chloe Taddeo came in first in the discus with a throw of 78-4. Emma Currier won the 2-mile in 14:07.6, while Mahar’s 4×400 relay team earned first place as well.
