ATHOL — A bank in Athol was robbed during Monday’s storm, and police are looking for the public’s help in catching the suspect.
According to a statement from the Athol Police Department, the TD Bank at 2156 Main St. was robbed at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday. The Athol Police Department has released three photographs of a suspect, and is asking for help in identifying the person.
Call the station at 978-249-3232 with any information.
It is unclear how much was stolen during the robbery, whether the suspect had any accomplices, is male or female, how the person got away and how the robbery took place.
Photographs released by the Athol Police Department show a single individual inside the bank wearing a hooded camouflage jacket, dark gloves, dark pants and a dark mask obscuring the subject’s face, except for the eyes.
The first photo shows the suspect at a counter in the bank, looking down. The second and third photographs show more of their body, and the suspect holding what appears to be a brown or tan bag of some sort in their left hand, and the person is exiting the building in the third photo.
There is no firearm or any other weapon visible in any of the photographs.
Representatives at the Athol TD Bank would not comment on the incident when contacted. A call placed to TD Bank’s media department was not returned.
