I write to thank you for featuring the Frontier Regional High School student walk out in opposition to ICE immigration policies. I was honored to be the kindergarten teacher to many of those students. My husband and I have participated in many political rallies in our retirement. I’m worried that these rallies are often attended by mostly older engaged Americans. These beautiful young Frontier students gave me hope for the future of our democracy. I hope that their walk out will inspire other schools to wake up and stand up.
President Barack Obama once said, “Change is brought about because ordinary people do extraordinary things.” Frontier students are extraordinary!
