Davian Bala dropped 33 points — 26 coming in the first half — as the Turners Falls 7/8 Suburban squad defeated Amherst, 71-43, on Thursday in the semifinals of the CBI tournament. 

Brayden Sloan scored 15 points and Jaiden Lapointe tossed in 12 points in the victory. 

Bowling

Chris Rice and Nick Brown rolled the high single (105) and triple (278) in Sunday Scotch Doubles at the Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley this past week. 

Cindy Clark had the women’s high single (99) and triple (286) while John Herron rolled the men’s high single (137) and triple (339) in the Monday Mixed League. In the Wednesday Mixed League Jill Jablonski had the women’s high single (109), Cherie Semanie had the women’s high triple (289), Dennis Millett rolled the men’s high single (125) and Erich Price had the men’s high triple (332). 

In the Thursday Mixed Social Rachel Dodge had the women’s high single (118) and triple (314) while Ray Dodge had the men’s high single (143) and triple (347).
