Bulletin Board: Ryan Lenois, Sally Malloy capture club championships at Thomas Memorial

Make it five straight club championships for Ryan Lenois.
Thomas Memorial Golf and Country Club in Turners Falls held its club championship on Saturday, with Lenois winning a match of cards over Joey Mosca and Bob Bourbeau to capture the low gross with a round of 76. It was the fifth straight club title for Lenois.
Bourbeau wound up second after the match of cards and Mosca came in third, while Darren Lenois placed fourth (80).
Nick Worthley fired the low net (69) followed by Paul Barnard (72), Steve Call (72) and George Cooke (74). Barnard and Call each won skins.
Sally Malloy won the women’s club championship for the third time in four years, shooting the low gross of 92. Jenn Murphy placed second with a 97.
CCG results
Jen Bresciano, Tom Breciano, Shelby Smith, Dan Smith, Brodie Conant and Sandra Conant won a match of cards over the team of Tom Herzig, Susan Plante, Lana O’Connor, John Missale, Terry Boyce and Matt Matroni to shoot the low gross of 54 while also carding the low net of 49 in a tournament at the Country Club of Greenfield on Saturday.
Raye Young, Rich Young, Dave Seymour, Mike Covey, Diane Carme and Chris Varilly placed third (55). Ellen Bitzer, Ryan Sullivan, Corrine Sysun, Lisa Sullivan, Jeff Sullivan and Val Esquer placed second in net scoring (52) while Barb Killeen, Jack Killeen, Jess Lapachinski, Curt White, Joe Butz and Rich Clark took third (53).

PVYBL Mickey Mantle
Aidan Heffernan scampered home with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring on a first and third double steal situation to lift Frontier to a walk-off 12-11 victory over Mohawk in a PVYBL Mickey Mantle contest on Monday night.
Frontier trailed 7-2 before scoring six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Austin D’Urso had two hits and scored three runs for Frontier, while Phil Morin singled and drove in three runs in addition to a pair of walks. Collin West singled, drove in a run and scored twice.
Mohawk’s Jacob Martin was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Wyatt Edes (RBI) and Grayson Bishop (two RBIs) each added two hits.
Dinner on the Bridge
Want to have dinner on the Iron Bridge this summer? The Mohawk Trail Athletic Department is giving you the opportunity to do that.
The Mohawk Trail Athletic Association is taking over the Dinner on the Bridge fundraiser from the Shelburne Falls Business Association, with the event taking place on Aug. 20 on the Iron Bridge. Seating begins at 4:30 p.m.
Th e cost is $100, with all proceeds going to support Mohawk Trail athletics. There will be a cash bar. The meal will be provided by Bash Catering and served by Mohawk Trail student athletes.

FC Summer League
Lindsey Taylor smacked two hits and drove in four runs, helping Menace to a 12-9 win over Havoc in a Franklin County Summer League contest on Monday at Murphy Park.
Skyler Steele tripled twice and scored four runs in the victory, as Menace scored four runs in its final at-bat to rally from a 9-8 deficit. Alison George and Skylei Lapan also had two hits for Menace, and Aleysha Ramos tripled.
Havoc’s Sarah LaRocque roped two hits and drove in three runs, while teammate Cobi Tyminski also had two hits and a pair of RBIs.
In other action Monday, Menace took down Wolfpack, 10-2, thanks to two hits apiece from Taylor (three RBIs) and Kylee Gamache (two RBIs). Steele scored three more runs for Menace, which received a strong pitching performance from Jenna Petrowicz (five strikeouts, three hits allowed).
Wolfpack’s Allison St. Pierre slashed two hits on the night, and Cassie Dion drove in a run.
