Bulletin board: Northfield’s Stephanie Scoville named the MASCAC Pitcher of the Week with Westfield State softball team

Northfield’s Stephanie Scoville was honored for her play with the Westfield State softball team.
The Pioneer Valley Regional alum and current Owl junior was selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference pitcher of the week.
Scoville tossed a complete game three-hitter in her seasonal debut, allowing just one run and striking out five as the Owls topped Alfred (N.Y.) State, 4-1 in Naples, Fla. on Sunday.
All-Star game results
The Franklin County Varsity Sports Report All-Star Games hosted by Bobby C and his show and sponsors took place at Franklin County Technical School on Sunday.
The final score of the girls game was Team Machon defeating Team Johnson, 56-48. Team Machon was coached by Frontier girls coach Dave Machon and all nine players on their roster got in on the scoring. Kylie Laford and Olivia Machon each had nine points, Hailey Hutkowski scored seven points, Hailey Ring and Kyler McLelland each scored six points, Claire Kirkendall, Kendrah Doane, and Addison Harrington each scored five points, and Morgan Dobias chipped in four points.
Team Johnson was coached by Greenfield girls coach Ben Johnson and received 20 points from Amber Bergeron, 12 points from Lea Chapman, 10 points from Hannah Gilbert, four points from Carly Blanchard, and two points from Bella Pettengill. Other team members were Kendra Campbell, Kaitlin Trudeau, Riley Giard, and Rachel Pease.
In the boys’ game, Team Thomas defeated Team Redeker, 104-71. All 16 players scored in the game.

For Team Thomas, coached by Greenfield boys coach Angelo Thomas, Hunter Martin scored 18, Jon Breor scored 16, Caleb Thomas scored 15, Caleb Murray scored 14, Jake Lavin scored 13, Jackson Campbell scored 11, Levin Prondecki scored nine points, and Conner Sluder scored eight.
Team Redeker was coached by Pioneer assistant Fred Redeker, and received 14 points from Hugh Cyhowski and Noah Ausikaitis, 11 points from Brayden Thayer, 10 points from Josh Wood, seven points from Nico Fasulo, six points from Owen Babb, five points from Ty Sadoski, and four points from Kurt Redeker.
Behind 17 points apiece from Grayson Thomas and Lobsang Rabten, the Greenfield grades 7 and 8 boys team captured a 60-55 win over Hampshire in the semifinal of the Suburban League playoffs on Sunday.
Second-seeded Greenfield advanced to the championship game, set for Saturday (March 18) at Belchertown High School.
D'Angelo Brown added 10 points in the victory, while Aiden Holliday added nine points and Gavin Arsenault tossed in five.
