ATHOL – With the school year at a close, the free Summer Eats program will begin on July 1 in the Athol and Royalston communities. All kids and teens 18 and under can eat meals for free, no sign-up required, no questions asked. Just show up at the sites and times listed below throughout the summer.

Kids and teens must be present to receive a meal and eat on-site. Many sites will host fun kid-friendly activities through the summer with price giveaways.

Free breakfast and lunch will be available at the following dates and times:

■Athol Middle School, 1062 Pleasant St., Athol. Breakfast is 7:30-8 a.m. and lunch is 11-11:30 a.m., July 1-Aug. 9.

■Athol Community School, 1064 Pleasant St., Athol. Breakfast is 8-9 a.m. and lunch is 11 a.m.-noon, July 1-Aug. 9.

■Athol Public Library, 568 Main St., Athol. Lunch only, 11:50 a.m.-12:10 p.m., July 1-Aug. 9.

■Royalston Public Library, 19 On The Common. Lunch only, 11:30-11:40 a.m., July 1-Aug. 9.

■Lake Park Playground, 153 Lake St., Athol. Lunch only, 11:30-11:45 a.m., July 1-Aug. 9.

■Athol High School, 2363 Main St, Athol. Breakfast is 8-8:20 a.m. and lunch is 11:30 a.m.-noon. July 1-Aug. 9.

All sites will be opened sites.
