H.S. Roundup: Kyler McClelland’s shooting leads Pioneer girls basketball team past Mohawk Trail (PHOTOS)

Kyler McClelland had the hot hand for the Pioneer girls basketball team on Thursday against Mohawk Trail. 

McClelland knocked down six 3’s in the contest, three in the first half and three in the second half, to help propel the Panthers to a 64-24 Franklin County League South win in Buckland. 

Pioneer led 30-8 at the half. 

Addie Harrington (14) and Hailey Ring (13) joined McClelland in double-figures, with Fota D’Diaye and Whitney Dunklee each chipping in six points in the win for the Panthers. 

Rachel Pease scored a team-high 14 points for Mohawk Trail, with Bella Pettengill adding eight points and Grace Davenport scoring two points in the defeat. 

Mahar 42, Ware 27 — Behind 11 points from both Kendrah Doane and Nevaeh Scribner, the Senators were able to pull away with a Franklin County League North win over Ware on Thursday in Orange. 

Hayden Comeau finished with 10 points while Alivia Patch scored seven points and Astha Bernard tossed in two points for Mahar. 

Stoneleigh Burnham 45, Eagle Hill 25 — Faline Zinn-Keane finished with 14 points and Lexi Short chipped in 11 points to lift Stoneleigh Burnham to a victory Thursday.

Carsten Couture (106), Dillon Gagnon (132), Collin Eddy (182) and Brody Williams (220) picked up wins for Franklin Tech. 

Frontier 36, Hampshire 36 — Wyatt Finch (113), Jocelyn Antes (120) and Jake Madsen (195) each won their respective matches as the Redhawks wrestled to a tie against the Raiders Wednesday.
