GREENFIELD — Judge Jane Mulqueen set bail at $50,000 for an Orange man facing a dozen child rape charges in Franklin County Superior Court.

Jakob Malcolm-O’Malley, 19, has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of rape of child in a case that has been transferred from Orange District Court because of its severity. He was arrested and arraigned on Jan. 19, when Judge Laurie MacLeod impounded the case file’s police narrative due to its sensitivity.

Malcolm-O’Malley is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Nov. 22. He is represented by court-appointed defense attorney Dan Solomon.
