I’m beginning to wonder if the powerful Democratic machine is fine with a second Trump presidency. Why else would they install such a lightweight as their candidate? It wasn’t that long ago that she was considered a liability by many in the party and Joe Biden was feeling pressured to replace her on the ticket.

The selection of Tim Waltz as a running mate was an interesting choice for a party looking to win. He let his city burn and his wife throw open the windows in order to smell it (her words). Are they looking past 2024 and looking toward 2028, when they can run the straight white golden boy from California? Did the diversity equity and inclusion policies of this administration come back and bite them?
