Chester Kuzontkoski: Glad elections are over

For many reasons, I am so glad the elections are over. I am also glad about the results as well. Finally, we might be spared of all the articles and columns published in this paper that have been so one-sided.

Especially the last few years, we have been bombarded with article after article about President-elect Donald Trump. The speculations, negativeness and pure hatred were, I must admit, at times very hard for me to read through. Although I did indeed read every My Turn, Readers Write, and column written by all you great folks with opinions, who think they are journalists.

Being so fair-minded, I would like to recognize all of you for the effort, time, research, and hard work in writing these articles you have so skillfully put together for all of us to read. Although I am sure there is much sadness among you because of the election outcome.

Therefore, for you, let me offer up this song, that might not quell any of your sadness, but it does have a nice tune. It was released by Question Mark & The Mysterians back in the 1960s. We listened to it all the time on Armed Forces Radio when I was overseas in the service, “96 Tears.” “Come on, and let me hear you cry, now.”
