Bill Lafley: Musk should thank taxpayers

Elon Musk has cozied up to Donald Trump and is leading the charge to cut government services and make our government more efficient. In 2018, Tesla was the first electric vehicle car company to hit the 200,000 ceiling for the $7,500 federal tax credit. If the average price of a Tesla was $60,000 at the time Mr. Musk benefited from this federal subsidy to the tune of about $12 billion.

Now he is looking to cut the government’s help for the rest of us middle- and low-income folks. The least he could do is send us all a thank you note for the tax money we contributed to making him one of the richest men in the country.

These folks are shameless and do they think we are stupid? … Yes, I actually think they do.
