ATHOL – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Petersham Road on Monday.

According to department photographer Bryan Favreau, the crash was reported at 5:08 p.m. on Dec. 30. Upon arrival, fire crews discovered two vehicles, one of which was on its side, with the operator trapped. This person was freed from the vehicle and transported to Athol Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The operator of the second vehicle refused transport.
