MIAA Track & Field: Mohawk Trail’s Chay Mojallali ties for 2nd in high jump at Meet of Champions

The second and final day of the 2025 MIAA Track and Field Meet of Champions took place on Sunday at Fitchburg State University, with Mohawk Trail’s Chay Mojallali producing a big day in the boys high jump.
Mojallali hit a high mark of 6 feet, 4 inches on the day which earned him a share of second place overall. The jump was just two inches below his personal best. Shrewsbury’s Derek Shimer was the MOC winner at 6-6.
Pioneer’s Natalie Rios won the MIAA Div. 6 title in girls javelin and had another strong performance on Sunday, finishing with a top toss of 117-3 to take seventh place on the day. Teammate Louise Flagollet finished ninth in girls high jump with a top leap of 5-2.
Mahar’s Stellina Moore earned an eighth place finish in girls pole vault with a jump of 9-6.
Frontier’s Ben Cachiguango took first in the 110-meter hurdles at Div. 6 states but was unable to reach the final heat on Sunday, taking 19th with a time of 15.49 seconds. Fellow Redhawk Evan Hedlund placed 23rd in the boys mile with a time of 4:26.75.
The Frontier boys 4x800 team of Charles Dennis, Luke Howard, Gus Radner and Hedlund placed 22nd (8:37.33).
