Edward P. Alden III

ORANGE — Edward P. Alden III, 60, of Putnam Street, passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester.

Born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Feb. 3, 1957, he was a son of Edward P. Jr. and Arlene (Conrad) Alden and grew up in Orange, attending Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School, with the class of 1975.

He enjoyed the Red Sox, Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed movies. Ed was an exceptional bowler, winning many awards.

Ed was a very kind person and will be missed by all who knew him.

Ed is survived by sisters, Marie Lima and her husband, John, of Randallstown, Maryland, and Judie Baxter of Orange; a niece, Ellen Martin and her husband, Henry, of Erving, and their son, Hunter.

There are no calling hours.

A gathering will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m., at the Mission Covenant Church, 53 Pleasant St., Orange.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Mission Covenant Church, 53 Pleasant St., Orange, MA 01364.

Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange, is directing the arrangements.
