ERVING — On Sunday, Erving Elementary School at 28 Northfield Road (Route 63) will celebrate its fifth annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Party from 2 to 4 p.m.
Performer Roger Tincknell will bring a variety of instruments, songs, games and stories to entertain.
To celebrate reading, literacy and books, every year the school library puts on an all-ages party in honor of Dr. Seuss, who was born in Springfield on March 2, 1904.
Following the program will be an ice cream social in the school cafeteria, with all the fixings for a make your own sundae.
The event is free for all ages, and families are welcome. It is not limited to Erving residents.
