ATHOL — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday morning, March 19, 2018 at Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol for Dorothy M. “Dottie” (Alner) Woodard, 91, of South Main Street, who died March 10, 2018 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare, 119 Belmont Street, Worcester. Fr. Edwin Montana officiated with Jane Lachance as alter server. Janet Paoletti was the organist and Liz Hume was the cantor. The pall was placed on the casket by the bearers, Larry Fisher, Jonathan Cole, Demil Kovacevic, Peter Mallet, Adam Cooley and Jeff Cole. The Old and New Testament readings were read by Jane Lachance. Interment with Rites of Committal followed in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, was honored with directing the arrangements.
