The Center’s Got Talent will be held Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at 242 Old Petersham Road in Hardwick. The sixth annual community talent show is open to all residents of central Massachusetts. Contestants have ranged from age 4 to 64. Past acts have included singers, dancers, jugglers, comedians and more. The audience will vote for their favorite act to win the Audience Choice award.
Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25
Athol Public Library on Main Street in Athol will offer Indoor Mini Golf on Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Free and open to the public. Families are welcome – and encouraged to participate.
Thursday, March 29
Join the Orthodox Congregational Church of Petersham, 21 North Main St., for a Maundy Thursday service on March 29 at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
Saturday, March 31
Attend Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 31, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Athol High School, and the proceeds will benefit the senior Class of 2018. Those 12 years old and older are $5; children under 12 are $3. There will be an Easter egg hunt with prizes, coloring eggs and photos with the Easter Bunny. It’s all the pancakes and sausage you can eat, served with juice and coffee.
Sunday, April 1
The Orthodox Congregational Church of Petersham will hold an Ecumenical Easter Sunrise service on April 1 at 6:15 a.m. in the Petersham Curling Club’s parking lot. Dress warmly, because the service is held outdoors. Coffee and pastries will be served at the church, 21 North Main St., following the service. All are welcome.
An Easter Sunday Celebration of Spring will be held at First Congregational Parish Unitarian Church of Petersham on April 1 at 11 a.m. The event will be lay-led with spring flowers, poetry and song. It will be held in the sanctuary starting at 11, when two new members will be welcomed into the parish at 3 West St. Cathy Tyng will serve as the organist. All are welcome to attend. Following the service, plants will be handed to all children in attendance, and refreshments will be served in the dining room. For more information, visit: www.petershamunitarian.org.
Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7
Melisa Mallett and Barbara Sawyer will co-chair the Quabbin Singles Cribbage Tournament on April 6 and 7 at the South Athol United Methodist Church Hall, 65 Morgan Ave. There will be no change in the double elimination, singles format; however, the phone numbers to make reservations have changed.
