ORANGE — The Mahar baseball team allowed four runs in the seventh inning and fell to Belchertown, 7-5, Thursday.

The Senators (1-2) scored one run in the first and the sixth innings. They scored three runs in the fifth.

Sam Paul pitched six innings for the Senators, striking out six, while allowing three runs, including two earned, on four hits and three walks. Jacob Berry pitched the seventh, giving up four runs, including two earned, on three hits and one walk.

Berry went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and one run. Noaha Chabot went 2-for-3, while Paul, Will Peredina, Charlie Barnes, Logan Dodge and Joey Brozell each had one hit.
