ATHOL — A memorial service was held on Friday morning, April 13, 2018 at the Starrett Memorial United Methodist Church in Athol for Massachusetts State Police Lt. Mark A. MacDonald (Ret.), 73, of Intervale Avenue, who died April 2, 2018 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Healthcare Campus in Worcester. Rev. Freda Maier and Rev. Mary Owen officiated. Donald “Spin” Ainsworth was the organist and Renee Lake-Gagilardi was the soloist. Words of remembrance were offered by family and friends and the Massachusetts State Police provided and honor guard. Following the service, a reception was held a the Ellinwood Country Club in Athol.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, was honored with directing the arrangements.
