ORANGE — The Mahar junior varsity softball team struggled against Hopkins Academy, losing 17-6 on Thursday.
Mackinley Drew led the team with two runs and three hits, including one home run. Abby Tandy had two hits for Mahar. Jazmine Vezina had a strong game at third base for Mahar, with an unassisted double play, seven assists and three putouts.
