HATFIELD — The Athol-Royalston Middle School softball team defeated Smith Academy, 9-0, Wednesday.
Kristinna Sigurdsson pitched a complete game for ARMS, striking out 12. She also went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple and one RBI. Maddy Watt went 2-for-2 with one run and two stolen bases. Kendall Deleo scored two runs.
ARMS went up 1-0 after the third inning. It went up 3-0 after the fourth, 5-0 after the fifth and 9-0 after the sixth.
