MONTAGUE — Against one of the premier softball teams in western Massachusetts in Turners Falls High School, the Athol Red Raiders lost 13-1 in sixth innings, Wednesday night.
Sadey Lehtomaki had the only hit and run for the Red Raiders (6-6). She scored on an error in the fourth inning.
The Indians (9-2) took a 5-0 lead in the third inning. The team added three in the fourth to go up 8-1 and then five in the sixth inning.
Lindsey Leblanc pitched four innings for the Red Raiders, allowing 10 hits and three walks while striking out two. Haley Bigwood pitched two innings, allowing four walks and three hits.
