ATHOL — Robert Harry Britt, 78, of Athol passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Quabbin Valley Health Care, Athol.
Robert was born in Athol on December 5, 1939, the son of the late Harry E. Britt and the late Marceline M. (Venette) Britt.
He grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. Robert worked in building maintenance at the former J. F. MacElwen Shoe Company for many years. He was an active volunteer at the Athol Senior Center and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by several cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Highland Cemetery, Hillside Terrace, Athol. Reception to follow at the Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut St., Athol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s name may be sent to the Athol Senior Center, C/O Athol Council on Aging, 584 Main St., Athol, MA 01331.
