EASTHAMPTON — Albert F. Weibel, Jr., 65, also known as Mr. Three Man in some of the local convenient stores, a native of Easthampton who also lived in Northampton, West Springfield, Athol and currently Greenfield, passed away on May 17, 2018 from lung cancer.
Born on July 28, 1952, he was the son of the late Albert, Sr. and Margaret (Gebo) Weibel. Raised and educated in Easthampton, he was a graduate of Easthampton High School class of 1971. After graduation he joined the Navy and served during the Vietnam Era.
His last place of employment was at the Blue Bonnet Diner in Northampton.
During his lifetime Al enjoyed bowling, casinos, umpiring little league baseball in Easthampton and Northampton, his part time job as a para-mutual clerk for horse racing at the 3 County Fair for 20 years. But most of all, Al enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his grandson Tyler.
Along with Tyler, he leaves Ethan his step grandson, his son Kurt and wife Stacey of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, his four siblings, sisters Francine and husband Brian Howard of Athol, Judy and husband Keith Lenkowski of Easthampton, brothers Richard Weibel and wife Rose of Easthampton, and Bruce Weibel of Macon, Georgia and from that bunch, several nieces and nephews and many friends. And he will be so missed by his constant companion for the last 14 years, his beloved cat Oreo.
Calling hours for Al will be held on Sunday May 20 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Boucher-O’Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant Street, Easthampton followed with a service at 4:00 p.m.
