PHILLIPSTON — Queen Lake beach on Route 101 was opened for the swimming season Wednesday. Frederick French, Chairman of the Board of health, made the announcement, stating, “The limits were very low for two tests and can be reopened per the state.”
The lake was closed to swimming Saturday due to the elevated level of E.coli bacteria.
Testing occurs at least weekly throughout the summer.
