ATHOL — A parachutist died today from injuries sustained when she veered off course and crashed into a barn on South Main Street in Orange on Saturday.
The Orange Police Department responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., according to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office. The woman was transported to Athol Memorial Hospital and then to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where she died.
The Orange Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Detectives Unit attached to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
