FITCHBURG — The Athol boys summer basketball team lost to Monty Tech 41-25 on Thursday in a summer league basketball game held at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.
Monty Tech held a 30-9 lead at halftime.
Monty Tech held a 35-19 lead with 11 minutes left in the second half. Athol moved within 18 at 41-23 with two minutes left. Athol scored the final basket of the game with 12 seconds left on a layup by Nathan Heath.
