ORANGE — The Athol Mahar Youth Sports Program (AMYS) filled June 17 with fun and smiles by hosting its NFL Flag SuperBowl flag football event for the local youth.
The event had four winners in four divisions. The New England Patriots won the 6U division, while the San Fransisco 49ers won the 8U division, Atlanta Falcons the 10U division and the New York Giants the 16U division.
The event also featured final performances of the program’s cheer season, which had over 30 participants.
It was the third consecutive year AMYS held its NFL Flag program. According to Amber Robidoux, the program’s head of the Board of Directors, AMYS has seen an increase in participation in each of the three years.
