GARDNER — The Theatre at the Mount prepares to rock out in August when the Queen musical “We Will Rock You” opens on Aug. 10 for five performances.
“We Will Rock You” tells the story of a globalized future without musical instruments. A handful of rock rebels, the Bohemians, fight against the all-powerful Globalsoft company and its boss, the Killer Queen (Fatima Elmi); they fight for freedom, individuality and the rebirth of the age of rock. Scaramouche and Galileo, two young outsiders (Faith Brodi and Kyle Carlson), cannot come to terms with the bleak conformist reality. They join the Bohemians and embark on the search to find the unlimited power of freedom, love and Rock.
Also appearing in the cast are Will Gelinas as Khashoggi, Leighton Moylan as Brit, Caitlin Sausville as Oz, Joey Andrade as Buddy and a large ensemble of singers and dancers.
The show features many of Queen’s chart topping hits including “We Will Rock You,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Radio Gaga,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “We are the Champions” and more.
