ATHOL — The Athol area YMCA will host tryouts starting today for its recreational soccer program for all kids in kindergarten through eighth-grade.
Cost to participate is $20 for YMCA members and $35 for non-members. Interested participants can sign-up online or in-person at the Athol area YMCA.
The smaller kids, grades 2, kindergarten through two, will play three-on-three games or four-on-four, depending on the amount of signups. Everyone else will play seven-on-seven.
Everyone will participate in a “jamboree day” on Sept. 8, which is also the last day to register for the program.
