ORANGE — The rosters for the Orange Recreation Association (ORA) 3-on-3 basketball league were announced on Monday. Games will begin on tomorrow at Fisher Hill School in Orange starting with grades 2 through 5 at 8:30 a.m., followed by grades 6 through 9 at 10 a.m. and finish with grades 10 through 12 with the final game starting at 12:15 p.m.
The 3-on-3 basketball league is a different take on the sport, with a specific rules set to promote inclusion and competition. Teams are set to create a competitive balance, while players are capped at scoring 16 points per game. Due to vacations and players unable to make certain games, teams will consist of players outside of its grade range to allow teams to consistently field a full team, while giving younger players a chance to play against tougher competition.
